What is it called? The "Nowayyyyyy!!!!" F'd up two good cars, looks like. I've never been a fan of customized '57s, other than nosing and decking. The factory did a pretty decent job of "customizing" it already.
I put a completely shaved 56 dash, in my 57. Shaved the trunk & moved the license plate to the sedan bumper.(Like the Cadillacs of the time) Leaded in the pseudo gills on the front fender. customized the hood rockets. Shaved the door handles and installed power windows. Been my daily for 15yrs now! It is a Bel Air & not the rare 210, it's impersonating!
I honestly think less is more on a 57, and after seeing some of the pictures posted I fackin know that to be true!
Thanks folks, good thread idea. Love the red & white, the green, the silver, the Fishbeck & the convert. Please- No more gross stuff though , lets keep our dignity intact..
Ron,that`s the one!!It was featured in Kustoms Illustrated a while ago, very cool. Thanks for posting the link!
Yea I done the pix and article for KI. Have more pix of that car but that is all I have on line right now.
I love this car!! Cant wait till the day the resto starts . I ***ume this means you are gonna be able to hang onto it ( I hope!) ?
I started with a body, that needed a lot of work. Look forward to redoing it someday. The trunk wouldn't close in the picture(right when it came off the roll back) Because the fin was bent over, from a different tow truck taking a 50 p/u that was stored next to this thing. That's the same driver side fin.. just shrunk & slap filed back to shape.
i actually kinda like the nova... finished painted shiny black with cragars i think it would look pretty cool.. the green one with qhad lites is unreal!!
This one is my favorite '57 Chevy Kustom of all time. Hopefully one of these days I'll see it in person.. Happy Trails, Mick
