The ol black "A" coupe finally gets a full interior

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Chris, Aug 5, 2010.

  1. Went and picked the ol coupe up last night as Bruce said she was done. If you missed the first thread, here it is:

I hadn't seen it at will with any sort of headliner work done. Man, I was so excited! Got to my buddy Bruces and I was blown away!! He just does excellent work and takes a TON of time to do make sure everything is perfect and just right.

You know, it all started with those damn chrome garnish moldings I found. If I had not had gotten those, I would have never put a full interior in the car. Now I am so happy I did. Heres the pics...I still gotta trim and install the floor mat

Looks good! Looks comfortable too. A lot of attention to detail.

My god dude that looks incredible. It's going to go perfect with that Maroon 59ab with the S.Co.T. blower on top when you put it in this winter.

Seriously though, if you had any hand at picking out the final vision then you've got a ton of taste my man. It looks incredible.

On another note, you're such a dick I hope you burn your arm on those chrome garnish moldings at least once a week.

The white piping is rad by the way. I was thinking of doing it on a wide pleat black seat in my '35 but I'm just not sure. This really makes me want it though.

Very nice. The headliner and side panels are a work of Art.

  6. Bruce actually made bows for the headliner so it curves across, not just flat. Thats the sort of detail he does, and why it took soooooo long :D

Let me ask you this, are you looking to do a cloth carpet or and original rubber mat? I originally thought the rubber mat (OEM style) but now after looking at how much insulation and shit will go under it I am starting to thing that it will always look puffy. So I was thinking of doing a carpet in there now.

Also what did you do for insulation? You don't strike me as a lizard skin type of guy.

  10. Great looking interior, I like the idea of bows in the headliner. Have been thinking about this in my tudor. Could you descibe how the bows were done?

Man that's cool! Maroon always looks good in early fords, Never quite sure why that is, but it's true! Hey, what was the title of your thread on doing the V8 in your roadster? I'd love to go back and ponder your chassis work again and couldn't find it.
    Thanks, Chip
