    Too bad...
I'm hoping to go up with Fred and Paul.
If they won't go I'll probably go by myself.
Get any time on the beast today? I managed to get a side of the bucket dipping in an electrolysis bath. :)

That's close to 3 hours for me! :(
But I understand about traveling. I've had a crazy amount of time off and haven't got hardy a thing done. Losing more time is a pain but I RARELY get to shows.

Do anything more this evening or just chillin' from the day?

got a new welder, a patch panel for my p*** 1/4, time to remove the 4 layers of metal/rivets/bondo it on so its 1 piece.. The PO actually glued and rivetted 4 panels over each other instead of ****-welding patches..

started to do some repair work,cutting/fitting/tacking the patch. the repo panels didnt fit worth a **** so i needed a newer better top section (thanx panhanlejack)...

Great to see progress. What is the story with that quarter? Poor car has some history of repairs on that corner!

this is the worst side, the dr side is the same deal but not as bad.(I have a pic that shows the 4 pieces to make a half decent 1/4 panel, ground off maybe 1/2in of bondo over the whole panel. the frame was tinfoil and undercoating,rivets,etc.. i took off 4 panel pieces just rivetted on the p***enger side and 3/4in of bondo jsut to make it look smooth. totally disgusted.. the fenders were the same way, doors too.. wife thinks im nuts for fixing it, but it keeps me out of her hair, so shes relaxed abit,lol..thats why the work im doing to it, (ie floors, firewall, frame, rad support,etc).. Basically building a new car,, only 20% of the frame is original, and maybe 60% of the body was salvageable. The front end all all ******ed up, broken loweer arm mounts, just rivetted back together, there was NO weld on this car, jsut glue, rivets, sshett metal screws, etc. But I will get it done. :)

I feel your pain. My 63 Studebaker is the same way. A welder never touched it in the 47 years it been around. Very strange if you ask me.

here you can see the drivers side panel and all the patches that were rivetted on by the previous owner  the p*** side was worse but the whole car was like this. :(
