[QUOTE="Whitey Ford" 62 Uni;3599306]Beautiful dog....almost like my boy....he is a red nose as well. I wish people understood pits and stop listening to the media and judged all the same. It would be like me saying all kids are bad and need to be put down becuase of the Columbine shootings...seems I can judge everyone on 1 case...right?

He is a damn sweetheart but his looks make him intimidating, but hell he doesnt know people are scared of his looks. He just walks right up to anyone wanting a treat....then people start freaking. One guys started yelling he was getting attacked. This was at a restaurant where they allow dogs. My poor dog was scared shitless with this guy yelling. My dog was trying to get a french fry I dopped...idiots.

If I let my wife out to pee, I can't leave her out unattended for long or she will bark and dig.

I never thought I'd want a dog...let alone one riding around with me in the truck... Alex was great.

    I miss him.

  17. My wife's parents were the same. No pets allowed even a goldfish. We have since made up for lost time. 2 cats and one dog have the run of the house. My wife told my MIL she bought a new couch and a few minutes later my MIL called back and asked "you going to allow those animals to get on that new couch? My wife said you better believe it". My MIL was aghast.

crazy lab pup, i was trying to brush my teeth and he was frantically retrieving clothes, towels, socks, etc out of the bathroom, and putting them in a pile in the bedroom, I think I'm going to teach him to pick up dirty clothes and put them in a laundry basket, they teach assistance labs this all the time, they are happiest when they have jobs to do, it helps their self confidence. My lab I had for seven years, he thought his job was to catch those giant flying cockroaches, he would kill them and put them on my pillow, sometimes while I was asleep, he was so proud of himself, he would also retrieve all the dishes from the sink, pots, pans, glasses etc, and arrange them on the bedroom floor, he had it backwards. Oh and his favorite job, sharing his burps, he would get up in the middle of the night, walk over to me,stare at me, then belch in my face, this made him happy, so he would go back to sleep, or he would drink a bunch of water, come over, lay his head on my pillow, then go back to sleep.

New addition to the home. A rescue pit named Oscar. About 2 months old when we got him and he looked pretty bad. A lot of love and good eating has definitely done him some good.

  23. Did anyone else see the show on National Geographic last night about the history of dogs? Called "And Man Made Dog" or something like that. Talked about how 30,000+ years ago we domesticated dogs from wolves and the how all the various dog breeds came about. Excellent show.

They will have it on again and you need to watch it.

    "Let's go, Dad!"

"Okay, but we gotta get the motor back in first!"

My best friend, Memphis, waiting for me to get my '52 Victoria finished and on the road. Good thing he's patient. It seems to be taking forever.

I guess I can see his logic, I stand there with him on the lease, watching him crap, so I guess he feels he should do the same. I figured out if he brings me my shoes he has to go, this morning I must have not known he had them, so he whacked me in the head with a shoe to wake me up..
