Brought this car home a few weeks ago. Was on Craiglist somewhere in the middle of Nowhere, NH. Had a fun time with the Mass RMV getting it titled. Had to pay sales tax on average retail value. Will be filing for an abatement. They charged me tax on 6850 and i didnt even pay 1/4 of that for the car. I like how they make you pay the tax first and prove its worth less later.

Pretty basic car but has been sitting outside. It actually drives as i took it for a ride before i bought it.

I cant get to it until i finish restoring a Hurst Olds for my wife (i have 5 Oldsmobiles). When i get to this one its going to get a straight axle, 4 speed and dual quads. I will do the work myself but will rely on a friends speed shop for a jig to get the axle done.

I have been accumulating some classic speed parts and this is the perfect car to use those parts. It was a shame to have those parts and no car to put them on.

Hey Step child, here's some inspiration. Really thought I bought it like this except for the whitewalls. On the list are airbag suspension, R&P conversion to made room for headers, and was just eyeballing goatropers aluminum heads. Also blue steelies will be procured. I know I'm going to get flack for this but I'm considering the dual carb EZ-EFI kit under a stock type cleaner.

Do you have the grille insert? They're look killer and are super rare. I had a 34 olds coupe that came with a 33 8 cylinder grille insert. I sold the car but kept the insert. It's just a wall hanger now, until I find something to use it on.

Here's my 59 Super 88. I love this car, drives like an F-in dream. 53,000 orig on the 392. I've since removed the letters from the grill and filled it with chrome bullets, added striped spots & lake pipes, 98 tail lights, matching pair of era chrome side mirrors, and just got a set of 98 rear wheel well trim stainless. I LOVE flattops!!!!!

And now for something completely different...

...my desert find 1962 F-85 wagon. The car had been sitting in the Nevada desert since 1981. I got it this past spring and finally have it reliable and safe to drive. Unfortunately the patina won't last in the mid-Atlantic humidity, so blasting and paint are on the agenda for this winter. The car has the aluminum 215 V8 and Rotohydramatic, to be replaced by a 4.6 liter short block (with the original Olds heads) and a T5.

    Sorry been away.
Yep! it sits on VW coils at the rear and the fronts have pretty much been chopped in half. There's about 1.5" clearance on the frame :)
Annoyingly the left side is about 5mm down compared to the right so might have to get the grinder out again!

Oh the rims, they are a mystery at the moment!
I've been told they are Allied Magnums and originate from Japan??
There's a clue in the hubs, they're about 2.5 inches thick and the centre piece is made from a different material to the actual rim.
Got them on a super deal, so far haven't seen any others and i've been searching for about a year now.
