I was running 57 Caddy covers on my car and while they are real cool, they seem to be seen quite alot. I wanted something different. So... I got a set of 59 Dodge Royal Lancer caps at the Milltown show. Rick (59KUSTOM) gave me a killer deal. They really look good on the car.
Give yourself a tick. I have a set with black n white checks and they look ****. First set I had were white and looked great (just like yours) Rod
the caps look great i had a set on my chevy for awhile then put the caddy back but without skirts i think the look the best as a matter of fact the whole car looks good
Your Chibby has that so sought after look that was so popular on the streets of San Fernando Calif. where I was a teenager in the late 50's & early 60's Looks Great . Brings back memories. I believe we called those caps Fiesta's
Fiestas are Oldsmobile hubcaps. Lancers are mid 50s Mopar. Those new caps are refered to as "Spiders" and while the aftermarkets will fit any standard rim, the orginal spiders only fit a certain rim. By the way, did you know that they sell spiders with a hidden lock? Similar to those 80s Caddy hubcaps.
I bought a set of bullets too. They won't fit because of my front castle nuts. Oh well still looks good.
Love the car Todd. I really dig the scallops. I'm glad I could help with the caps. Thanks for the props, man. I'm glad you like 'em. Just to set the record straight; Fiestas are Oldsmobile caps, Spiders are chrome caps that just cover the center of the wheel & the lug nuts & the new caps on Todd's car are '59 Dodge Lancer caps. The other popular Lancer caps are '57s. Rick
Caps look *****in', back in the day I used to take mine off my 54 chev at night and bring em in the house. locked em up in the trunk at school. still it was worth the effort, they made the car... Bowtie.
there nice caps but bewhere they like to come off I lost one at 70 and it tweeked my rear fenderwell.
Actually the clips on these things are very good quality. I'm running stock 50 Chevy rims. They went on real tight and I am positive they are not going anywhere. Todd
