If this Delage didn't win Best of Show, it should have.

Thanks, I got a new camera right before I left home.

Yeah, I got lots more, all kinds. Let me know if you like a certain car or certain types of cars....I took about a thousand. It may take a while to get them up, though.

Any photos from the happenings at and around Pebble Beach would be extremely interesting to me. Can't get enough of this place. It's on my bucket list for certain...

Sorry Rick, no info other than it was at the Gooding auction, which was held on the grounds at Pebble Beach and is considered the most prestigious event.

Thanks for the old photo, I wasn't aware of it being that car. I hope the new owner restores it to its original styling.

Best coverage thus far!!! Love seeing details along with full shot of the cars.

You sort of have to wonder if this is exactly what it looked like back in the day. I mean I would feed the queen of England off that ****ing thing!!!

Yes, the racecars were way over-restored!

Slim, yes I have more Indy cars.

Has anyone recognized the red car with fins as a Ferrari? It was a part of the featured Ghia display.

Great shots Tom... I have a closet affinity with Vectors, and appreciate the other shots of cars from off the beaten path. Thanks for putting these up!

Yes , the racecars can be over-restored, but then you would get people complaining that "For all the monies you spent on the restoration--and it looks like THAT!

99% of the people there dont know the difference, only that its appealing to their eyes. I had one lady come up to my car and questioned why I had worn out tires on it? My reply was-- Its a dragster, they come that way.

  24. It didn't, and neither did this ^ Graber bodied Dusenberg....

Best of show went to the 1933 Delage D8S De Villars Roadster, owned by the founder of Long John Silvers fast food chain.

  26. Yup...winning best of show at Pebble IS the Superbowl of car show awards.

It means you have the best car in the world.....

Bump for Rik...I like the first version way better then this. It really lost a lot of its caractor in the "restoration" process.. Too bad...
