I've got a guy in Phoenix who is supposed to be building one to my specs, exactly 1/3 scale. He's also building spindles for me, to my spec. I'll build the hairpins and a transverse spring.

Shoot me a PM and I'll give you his info. I can't give you a good/bad recommendation on him yet, other than the quote was very affordable. If/when I get the axle I'll post pics.

Get some flat stock-1/8" x 1" or 3/4", cut out pie pieces top and bottom after making a cardboard template for the amount of "drop". Then squeeze the gaps closed and weld. For the top and bottom of the "I" beam, weld on some 1/8" x 1/2" flat stock, following the contours of the "drop". I welded steel pipe to the ends, and bored them out to accept flanged bronze bushings for the 1/4" stainless machine screw kingpins. For the turning knuckles, more 1/8" flatstock, bent to fit the kingpin bores, leaving a bit for bronze washers top and bottom. The axles were welded onto the knuckles as well as the brackets for the steering arm and tie-rod. I drilled holes to lighten, then ended up carving out oval slots to really lighten it. I weigh 230 lbs and the axle/whole chassis easily supports my weight.

Thank you. At 39 I'm still an aspiring artist with no time to draw. I scratched that out in about 15 minutes.

Thanks for the pics of how you set up your steering, very cool and simple. I love how the steering links from the back!

O hello so you also read this forum :)
Yes i have talked to Ramon but the shipping cost will be to expensive.
I have been looking at several options and i have found one company that send from the USA to Sweden.
    This is how it works:
I Buy the body from you and pay it and the shipping cost to the company, when i have bought it from you i will get a adress in USA from the company where you send the body and they fix the rest.
I wanted the long body first but i have changed my mind, i want the small one because then i can fit it in the trunk of my car and transport it wherever my son want to ride it :)
How big is the package when you have put the body in a box?

    Best regards Mikael

Here is one that I just finished up last week. It's a 1957 Dodge Body on a mixed parts set up. It was fun to build. :D

Is it an original Trimex body or one of the recently available replacements?

Roadkillontheweb. I really do not know if it is a Trimex body or not. I bought the body about 5 or 6 years ago and it was stated to be an older casting.

It's a Trimex http://www.roadkillontheweb.com/mex1.html The 57 Dodge body mold is one that has recently surfaced and bodies are being made from it. I have more body styles and years to add to the page when I get a chance.
