History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

I got lucky here, I found it.

When I first told about this car they all thought I was crazy & it take me years to find someone who had a photo of it. I can't remeber who took this photo but I belive it was John McCarty (sp).

I don't the whole story on this car but it seems they ran a F/Altered, F/C & Top Fueler.

Thanks for posting all of these, wow, I can't keep up.

Rat Trap history is interesting, though I don't know the whole story...I think it started with an A/AF roadster pickup, Pippins and Green, Dennis Green was the guy who kept it going, went through several Rat Traps, then into funny cars...I remember Jim Adolph got burned at Bakersfield in an early RT funny....never knew they also ran a T/F...again, thanks for posting!!

 

I'm really surpise that no one has mantion that Doug Cook took over as crew cheif & the BIG switch to ENGLE cams.

What i do know about that photo is KLEINMAN-COLE FORD OAKLAND CAL. AND the guy in the coveralls with the mean LOOK is ED TERRY FORD DRAG TEAM MEMBER. I remember that LOOK at Fremont one Sat nite for the money in the last round in the bracket he comes over and says WHAT LANE DO YOU WANT KID. He took the money. At that time he was driving a 289 CFX 1966 GALAXY WITH WEBER CARBS. CK MUTTLEYS PHOTOS.

 

On Big John, I forgot that Larry Reves drove for Big John in his # 2 car.

By the way I think this was Gas Ronda's most beautiful Stang he ever owned.
