Well we did it. After the drive out, we ditched the idea of driving to Vegas and the to the beach. We stayed on the salt a couple more days.

The little toyota was stuffed from the front seats all the way to the back!

I left after work so that we would be driving through familar territory in the dark. Still stopped and tried to take a picture of the Arch for the kids school project (he missed school for this trip)

This pretty much sums up Nebraska
    [IMG]

We did however, stop in Grand Island, NE since one of my firetrucks was originally from there. This monument was kinda cool.

    A welcome site
    [IMG]

Too bad the eastern side of ****ing Wyoming is just as flat as ****ing Nebraska (I got real tired of that leg of the trip).

    The scenery did finally change.

They take all the fun out of being a pervert in Wyoming
    [IMG]

    The sun set on us,
    [IMG]

....but we pushed on towards the salt. We made it there early Saturday morning.

We drove down to lands end in the dark. The guy there said we had to pull off to the side and let the racers by, spectators couldn't go out until 7:00. It wasn't until after I got stuck that he clarified that I should have moved to the edge of the pavement.

I got pulled out before dawn and all was good.

Every once in a while you would just stop and be in awe of the open-ness. ...could have something to do with sleep deprivation also. :)

Anybody missing the hood off of their International? Neat car, but no front brakes has gotta be fun.

Vaphead's car? I never went back to meet him.

I think this is a shadow rod 27. Guy driving it was a gold chainer ***-hat based on first( and only) impressions. Nose of this car was fantastic in my opinion.

I think photbucket has been having technical difficulties today. It has taken a while for me to flip through my photo pages at times.

Hopefully they will act right in a little while.
