  2. "Vintage 1984 Holden" = mid 80's POS
    "restorer's dream"= one step from a nightmare
"easy restoration"- If you shit fifty dollar notes
"First to see will buy" - So if I see it and then don't buy it, don't tell the next guy because he may sue you for false advertising.
"No tyre kickers" - I thought that's what you do instead of a test drive
"Good condition for it's age"- so is a tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, and you can't get one of them to spring back to life.
Everything here in Australia is abbreviated and a "Y"" stuck on the end because we're lazy and can't spell.

I just hate the term 'old school' completely.

  8. I met a guy the other day that referred to his car as "pre school". Whatever that meant:confused:

Maybe we all just get one "me likey" per lifetime, then never have to type it again. Sounds about right.

I agree! When did they stop being "wheels" and become "rims"??? Guess I'm too old to "get it".

Also "Sport Coupe"...see above! Neither have posts or pillars..(choose one)

Ad would say something along the lines of:
California car, no rust, new tires, brakes, bla bla
Doesn't run, needs a new engine/transmission, I am including a rebuilt engine/transmission in the sale, just a bit of work for a great summer car!.

Why don't you just do that before you sell it? Makes it worth a lot more, and it sets off warning bells, what else have they not done that is easy to do?

The "RARE" Anniversay Edition 1953 Fords that always seem to command a much higher asking price.

Even though every single 1953 Ford ever made had the same emblem in the horn button, lol.

My ex-neighbors kid "I wanted more power so I had the engine bored out." Thats all it takes?

  16. As I recall the story is that Castlemaine Perkins (a Queensland brewery) couldn't spell "Beer" so stuck on the "XXXX" label instead.

Can't make beer can't spell it either.

A real beer in Australia , well that would be a Coopers Sparkling or Pale Ales.:):)

  17. A bit OT but what the heck.

I am always confused when someone says "I can't Wait"
    But inevitably has to wait.
What do they do if they "can't wait" but have to?
Bullet between the eyes? overdose? drive off a cliff?

I can hardly wait to find out.

  18. $50,000 invested, will sacrafice for $15,500...not really an investment if you lost money on the deal????

That's not true. i had plenty of money in tech stocks. Then they dumped so I went into REITs. Well we all know how that went. But they were investments. Not good investments. But investments still.

Just saw this one. Read a few pages and thought I'd throw this one in just in case it was missed. I love seeing cars with a full set of Stromberg 94s.

Every staight axle car isn't a Gasser, and when a dumb ass calls my Plymouth a Dodge. For Christ sakes read the hood or deck lid,it says so right on them.Should have seen the dumb found look on a gold chainer's face when I called their Corvette a Corvair after she made that mistake, what a dumb shit.
