Just inherited this jacket from my Dad, who used to show his '57 starting back in the mid 70's through the mid 80's. It has some neat NSRA Street Machine and Cl***ic Chevy Club patches on it I thought some of you might find cool...my guess is the jacket was from about 1974 and the patches he added over the next couple years as you can see from the pics.

Cool, I remember the street machine van division. I was at Tulsa 76 with a (dare I say it) v8 pinto.

  3. Got a picture of the '57?? I was at most of the NSRA Street Machine Nats and might have an old picture of the '57. Post a picture of your dad's so I know what car to look for. I was just watching a video the other day of a Tulsa one in the early 80's. I forgot what year that was.

I don't have a good picture of how the car looked at that time, other than some baby pictures of me with some of the bottom part of the car in the background - but it would have been a silver 2 door hardtop with wheels as you can see in the pics below - wasn't I a cute baby? :D

Very Cool! Thats a great jacket! I have the same Nationals Week patch which still hasn't been sewn on yet. I also have a Nationals Mirror from that same year. Originally it was a small table, but Dad unscrewed the legs and just kept the mirror top. Its hanging in my garage now. I too was there as a youngster. My Dad was a director for NSRA at the time and I remember him being in Tulsa for both the Van & Street Rod runs. Remember the driving games back then? Those were the days!

    Thanks, guys!

As soon as it cools off around here, I'll be wearing that jacket as I cruise with my '57 150 - like father, like son, I suppose. ;)

    At Woodward last Saturday...
