Greene HD, you want to know what I want more of?

Go over to http://westcoastchoppers.com/rant/, join the forum, then go to the "Metal Church" section and watch all six episodes.

That's what I want more of.

Que? Are you watching the same show as I am? I'm watching the one with all the knowledgeable guys restoring a car the way it should be done, without the gazzillion Watt woofers in the trunk and lasercut names in the grille.

awsome movie, you guys need to come over and help me with my old poncho, you guys are quick...... I wish I could have just a glimpse of living in the 50's, all the classy chrome, the neon lights, the rock and roll. I have probably repaired 1000 new cars in the last year, but that doesnt compare, to restoring just one classic.

Cool video! I like the theme of the show, and as long as it doesn't have all that contrived nonsense it will be enjoyable to watch. The fact that the focus of the program is bringing the car back to life and nothing else makes it worthwhile. My Dad had a '55 Buick when I was a wee little tyke. I always thought the exhaust came out the ports. lol
Like many of the other comments above, I don't care for all the screaming and yelling of Orange County Dysfunctional or the Bogus Boyds crap. Soap opera should be left to the daytime shows.
One final thought; have you given any thought to doing a hot rod or Kustom car? For many HAMBers those are daily drivers, and as real as it gets. Just my dos pesos.

Made me tear up! Seriously! What's THAT about! Could it be that I brought home a black and white '55 Buick 2 door hardtop just like they did. I'm still in the building stage, but man.. that hit home. And the poor thing ('55 Buick) reflecting back on it's life while it was in the wrecking yard.. sniffle... Oh get out the hankies! I would watch and watch and re-watch this show should they keep it as real as what I've seen so far! Wow!.. OK, I'll be alright.. just very motivating, etc. LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!

Cool car! cool video, no.....GREAT video, but like most video's and tv shows today the music SUCKS! Not trying to be a dick head but as soon as I heard the music I had to turn off the sound! How about something that grabs you? RIck Derringer( Rock and Roll Hoochie coo) or even Booker T and the MG's (green onions), AC/DC (Shoot to thrill)! Anything but that Nickleback, I'm mad at the world sounding crap of today!
Sorry, you did say "anyones opinion". Well thats mine, I know there will be a million that hate it but thats what it is, my opinion....Oh ya, GREAT job on the video!

  16. Uh, that sounded more like Coldplay to me.

    Looks good.

Great to see a show where people aren't yelling and Mother F***ing each other over a car. Too bad I got rid of my television sets, I hope your show succeeds.

cool car but the first 5 seconds made me think "you know how i know you're gay? you listen to coldplay"

come on, like you didn't laugh your ass off in the theater when dude dropped that line, and you know all you skirts threw your coldplay records out the window on your way home from the theater...

I thought it looked pretty cheesy.

  27. mixed feelings, as a 55 Buick Special owner I found it interesting and can associate with what was presented. However, without wanting to add 'drama' to the show, I'd hope you can offer content that is either a bit more entertaining for the viewer (after all, basic rust repairs and cleaning transmissions really shouldn't dominate an episode), and ideally, something more than what I'd define as a restoration.....after all, most 'car people' are into modification...irregardless to their vehicle prefference.

Lots of potential, I'm sure the skills are there, just more informative content as a consumer.

    Cheers,

    Drewfus:)

PS you must have searched high and low to find some decent rear tailight housings....any spare?;)

It looks like it could be a great show. I'm glad you are getting feedback before you put it on the air.

One of the things that bugs me is the constant interuptions, and going thru explanations of the problems over and over. To me it makes it look like a college or high school teaching video.

I could only get thru the second video and It was getting too monotonous for me.

    Just my .02

  29. Same here. life is good.

Only thing is I spent the money and switched only to find out the crappy digital signal is about 1/2 the power they can run it at thanks to the FCC:mad:

And Coldplays cover of "Ring of Fire" on Austin City Limits is one of the best fucking versions I have ever heard.

remember this show in still in the forming stage and feed back is exactly what will make it what the consumers want. thank you for posting all feedback.

also on the coldplay sound track, it is a bit out there for the hot rod minded but it fell right in line with what was trying to be portaried.

your comments havent fallen on deaf ears, together we can make a great show
