Mid-Michigan Hot Rod & Kustom BBQ..Would You Come?

I've been thinking of having a BBQ here in Chesaning,MI or possibly even in Saginaw,MI at one of the parks and it being held for pre '69 rods & kustoms...we could have different events go on through out the afternoon from horse shoes, tug of war, limbo..etc

my question is would anyone from Michigan come? I've tried getting you hot rod & kustom guys to come out to the car show I hold every year but not a whole lot show up, the weather may play a factor as it has rained all 4 years but still I do a lot of advertising and p***ing out flyers...so I just want to know if enough people will show up to make it worth while and a yearly event

possibly sometime in late September-early/mid October

thoughts/feedback/advice would be great!

 

the season sounds good...gotta love autumn....i'ld be at all on the old car get-togehters i could find..if i ever get Lil beast done...eeerrrrrr...... driveable....

 

my favorite time of year in Michigan, I know how ya feel..I finally got one of my cars driveable and I've been driving the piss out of it latley haha

 

maybe if we do this in October we could kind of make it a Halloween theme and have pumpkins for the kids to carve and candy and things like that

It would depend on the date but would be interested. As far as the "show" Sorry it is always the same date I am up north for a family weekend........

damn, four hours is quite a drive, would have been fun though

 

If it was on a weekend I wasn't working, I'm sure a few of us here in the Soo area would drive down. Fall running is the best!

Sounds like a good idea. Just have to plan it around the Hundredcarpileup. I agree that time of the year is really nice here in Michigan and it could be an excuse to get your long underware out for a trial run.

there is a few shows in my area in the fall, and I'd be hitting those first. But I am open to a show in your area too

 

when is it?, I've only been to it once I'm usually not big on "big" car shows..I need to start saving money for the Hunnert Car Pile Up in Illinois..not going to be cheap in gas haha

 

I'm in Saginaw 5 days a week so I basically live there but not exactly sure where would be a good area to have a BBQ/show but I think we'd have a bigger turn out in Saginaw than Chesaning

 

Frankenmuth is 10-11-12. The weekend after this one. I normally go on friday night, but i gotta work, so i'll have to go saturday instead. That is also the day of the Oakley bike run, so I might do that instead, if the weather is nice. I dunno.

 

There’s a park along the river on M13. I think it’s called Veteran’s Memorial Park. That might be a good spot for a gathering.
