thats so cool! Last time i cruised Hollywood, I was 3 wheelin' in my 63!! Cops are cool with it??? Ive got to check that out
With my partner and I standing not 20 feet away, watching, at 2:00 am, a drunk tried to break into our black and white.
Hollywood Bl. was the best cruising in the late 50's early 60's. $5.00 for gas in the 8mi. per gallon 57 Chev. you could cruise Hollywood Bl. go down La Brea to the Drive In at Sunset, cruise that then head up to the Sunset Strip, turn around and hit the Drive In again then do Hollywood Bl. once more then head to Van De Kamps Drive In on San Fernando Rd. or Bob's on Colorado in Glendale. If only we had video cameras then..
Does anyone remember Hollywood in the 90's Pat's 32 Phateon and my 29 Hiboy on the Blvd. every Friday after Kevins cruise night in Reseda we would come out to the Blvd, Saturdays too. Also had a 70 Olds 88 4door, lowered, shaved, red primer, gold metalflake scallops, Moon disc's, Winfield grill............... a real P.O.S. but reliable cruzer....
last night was a good time we were lined up in front off pig and whistle.... we cruise the b.l.vd. was a good time... los angeles car club came out in full force with some beuatiful 55 to 64 chevys majestics car club was there.... was some cool customs and rods cruising around....
tommys is off 101 and hollywood thats where the low riders hang out..... there were some nice ones out last night
What time do you guys show up? I was there from 8 pm till 10:30 pm. I saw 3 lowriders cruise by. I ended up going to Guiness and the Wax Museum to kill time. Man, was the boulevard packed with high end cars.........Funny, the women stroling the boulevard reminded me of Pretty Woman.
I didn't shoot anything because there weren't any cruisers. The only shots I got were of my wife doing the tourist thing. I did eat at "Tommy's" though. I hadn't had a "Tommy Burger" since the late 70's. Funny, I remember them tasting better.........Guess I've been eating too much health food (LOL). I got a short video showing how the traffic was. I will post it later, after the "Starlite Garage" open house.
First is "Tommy Burgers" then you see w/b traffic on Hollywood Blvd. I was going e/b, which wasn't too bad. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/y_d8n7BOk_0?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/y_d8n7BOk_0?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
