Creative industries in Detroit took production cars and made them into Superbirds and Daytonas for Chrysler Corporation. Along with many other short production run special jobs like these little cars in 1965.

I have never seen cars hauled this way and could this be the reason they were such a POS.

Yup, Ricky Nelson. He's getting a new stage routine ready.
And, referencing remark #8891 above, I rather doubt that his friends
    thought he was gay.

  25. I wondered the same thing. I assume they were shipped minus fluids? I can't imagine the mess if they weren't.:eek::eek::eek:

    Wow

Just my impression, but I did see Elvis on the Sullivan Show, and Ricky on his dad's show (never a "stage" performance, though). Though Rick was athletic (and more of a tough than the public record shows), I don't think he usually went in for the same delivery and gyrations Elvis was known for.

Again, my opinion, but I don't think the young fella aping Elvis above is Ricky Nelson. Just a typical young person of the later 1950s trying to emulate what was, then THE epitome of COOL. (Hell, Elvis was bigger than Davy Crockett! LOL)
