Is that the Catholic Church near Bedford on the Pa. Turnpike ? You can park on the side of the turnpike and go up steps to church without having to exit turnpike.

  3. haha, OK, I have heard of a Morris Minor but it never occurred to me that there might be a Morris Major. What a Paradigm shift.

I honestly do not want to start a pissing contest, but....(smiling)
If you think some of the photos posted by some folks are "OT" (off topic), just cool your jets. You really don't have to view them. Keep clicking down and get to the ones you like. Some of us, probably most of us, enjoy seeing everything that is posted. Also, I do note that negative and/or lame comments come from the same one or two guys. Your time really isn't THAT valuable. I guess you really can't please everyone, so just please yourself. Although, do that a lot and you could go blind!!

Saw a pic of the ship hotel in all that! I used to visit it often (after it had closed). My Grandfather was a peanut salesman back in the 40's and it was one of the stops on his route. My Mom would ride with him and told me stories of being in it. I have a photo of it hanging in my living room. Sadly it burned down a few years ago. Thanx for posting and thanx for the memories!

Yes, I'm pretty sure that's what it is. And I'm pretty sure that you have to be headed westbound to use the steps to get to the church. The sign and the steps have always been one of the more mysterious sights along the turnpike.

Dog427, yet again, you are awesome, man! Cool car,
but this one's unusual (at least to my eyes). Anybody
know what that grille shell is telling us? I see a greyhound
the says Ford product, but the grille isn't Ford, is it?

Enjoyed the interaction of everybody on that '51 scrap drive
in Utica, NY, there other day. So, when I ran back across this
old Ohio scrapyard pic, and I thought everybody might enjoy
eyeballing it and wishing they had a time machine to go back
and buy stuff for a project here, dirt cheap! Wanna venture
a WAG on the approximate YEAR? (Late '40s, maybe???)

Office-seekers, Democrat and Republican alike, pensively
await November 2, 2010! (Hey, wait. Was that too much
like a political comment? LOL) Pic is actually 1935 and is
in the Oregon State University Archives. So, MANY thanks
    to OSU!

You can't have the car on jack stands (blocks in this situation I'm sure) because when the engine clears the fenders you have to push the car out of the way to let the engine down...Did someone say something about doing it "traditionaL"?
