Trust me, I'm NOT laughing. My Dad traded our 348 '60 Impala for a '68 Torino Squire wagon with woodgrain and roof mounted luggage rack when I was 16. I never fully recovered..........

 

For the restorers out there please note how these motors are painted for a exact restoration,cant have any cast iron gray manifolds or black balancer and generator adjustment arm.

these two pictures are a few years later, then my brother traded coupe for a GTO around 1968-69. new owner changed a few things but not the color or interior. car sat for awhile the got sold we think to indiana or somewhere out in that area around 1972-73. now latter like all of us we've been looking for his coupe. if anyone saw or remembers seeing it or knows it's where abouts. please let me know. you and I would make a veitnam vets day. car had a 57 chevy molded dash, was chopped 4 inches and chanelled. if no one knows, then we just have another neat car to look at from our past. (lol) I thought it would be worth a shot!! thanks

This is my wife's grandmother circa 1918

Her first husband was a WWI vet and learned how to drive a truck while in the service so he got a job delivering ice cream for the Arctic Ice Cream company in southern Iowa after the war. When my wife and her siblings were kids they always eat their birthday cake and ice cream off these trays that Grandpa had left behind

They never thought anything of it since they had a whole stack of them in the basement. Then one day I put 4 of the trays on Ebay to see what they would do. The father in law said he would split it with me and they sold for $1,400 needless to say the rest of the stack got moved out of the basement. PS Grandma died a couple years back at the age of 99. She married again in the early 50s this time to a WWII vet she outlived him too and even had another boyfriend when she was in her early 90s until he passed away.

 

'Ol Mark didn't get much gas to run on with just a "C" sticker on the windshield!!!

I'm still waiting on feedback to see if France is to be on the "list". Then again, I may disregard the "list" anyhow.

Perhaps the photo of Marie Laurent (in 1971) may sway some opinions.

 

So, d'ya suppose it was the "midget margin" vote that put Silent Cal over the top in '25??? Nyuk, nyuk.
