Ok everyone, with the new location, there will be a new Meet n Greet! At Progress City, the Meet n Greet will be at 2pm (Oct 9) up near the Command Center (CC) and Tshirt Booth. See the map below.

For you veterans, you know the drill. For the new folks, it's a great way to put a name to the face and make new friends. And like we say, the Pileup is sorta like a giant family reunion with cars, thanks in part to the HAMB.

  3. Hopefully by then we won't need *too* many volunteers so most of you should be able to make it.

And no mooning the camera this year!

Can't wait. I fianlly found the project I want and will be picking it up this weekend but won't have it rolling by next month but I plan on attending. Also kinda pumped about seeing a lot of "locals" posting in this thread.

Is there going to be a Ladies H.A.M.B. meeting before hand this year?

Do you want to segregate yourself like that? :) Sounds like you're volunteering to organize a pre-M&G M&G, Vicky :D

    Hey, Joe

There was a Ladies of the HAMB Meet & Greet last year, half-an-hour before the scheduled M&G.:D

Ok, I just swapped out Hellfish's spectacular map in post #1 with something that is a bit more helpful. :D

Hey! It made sense in MY head! Besides, what do you expect from something whipped up in an Excel spreadsheet at lunch. :D

So just for clarification, the meet and greet starts at 2pm and a band on the stage right next to the meet and greet starts at 2:30.....I guess we've got 1/2 hour to talk and that will be about the end of that??:(

Perhaps the area between the stage and the M&G area is larger then it appears to be??

I had to think a lot about that. The later I schedule the last band, the fewer people stick around. Unfortunately, a large chunk of people start leaving between 2 and 3. There's no "good" time to schedule the M&G because it will always conflict with a band, cars entering & parking, or cars leaving. Based on several years of doing the schedule in Morris, I figured staring the last band 15 minutes earlier than in previous years benefits everyone. It does put a few people that want to be in both places in a bit of a quandary. The distance between the M&G and the band stage is probably half of what it was in Morris.

If you're worried about noise or other compe***ion, don't worry about that. There's enough distance between the stage and the Command Center that we'll be lucky to hear the bands, and the M&G is on the other side of the CC.

See you all at the meet and greet. For those coming from Chicago on Friday, we are doing a Route 66 cruise leaving from the White Fence Farm at 10:00. If you can't make the rally point, join us along Rte 66.
