Just because our policies may be flawed and our opinions
different does not excuse ever forgetting who and what we lost and that our enemy is very real .

  4. 8:46 AM is a moment of silence....a tragic day in our history.
Painfull for all the friends and family involved.

  5. Dont forget to lower your flags today.

  6. Yes, it brings a tear to my eye too...along with anger in my heart. Personally, I prefer to not use the euphemism "passed away" when referring to the murders of innocents.

We will never forget! I stop by a spot near my house that has a great view of the city last night. It was nice clear night and the view and the city lights were amazing. It still freaks me out that the towers are not there. I seen the towers burning that day 9 years ago from NJ. I will never forgot that day as long as I live.
I want to say thank you to the service men and women to serve this country to keep us free and help to keep this tragedy from happening again.

If we could return to the USA as being a strength and not the current politicAl and allow our proud men and women in service to do there job then thugs would never go there again without Fearing the wrath. It's time we stop worrying about other countries feelings and start taking care of the people in the USA. My prayers to the proud military and to the families that suffered on this dreadful day. Bring back the strength and pride in the USA

This is one of those days and moments that will never leave me. I was there and saw and felt the second plane hit. I walked through the dust and was stuck in the city for hours. Burns me up everytime I think about it.

I still rember to this day very clearly were I was. I had just started a new job and was listening to the radio when reports started coming in. Originally it was thought it was a small plane then all horrifiy details started coming in until most of the NYC radios stations went dark.

I made a quick call to my cousin who worked in Tower 1 and got his voice mail. Fortunately he was one of the ones who got out.

I called my wife and she said the towers collapsed, I said what do you mean collapsed. I went to the top of hill in Summit and stared in utter disbelief.

I do a lot of work in the Manhattan area and was reminded everty day and saw the destruction first hand for months and monts. Oh I will never forget, God Bless to those who lost their lives and to the loved ones left behind.

  20. I'll never forget that day as long as I'm alive . . . God bless the victims, families, friends and this nation that had to endure such a tragic act of a few - against so many.

I so wish we could rid the world of the fanatics and terrorists who take pride on destroying innocent people -- talk about cowards. Their maker will deal with them -- regardless of what their stupid 'leaders' preach.

  21. How does that Kool Aid taste?

  22. My prayers are strong as well as my feelings towards the big controversial issue. I am sure that some of those who died that day had the hot rod fever like the rest of us. Sadly there lives were shortened. I get angered over the situation as I heard rumor that the new building will be called Cordoba which supposedly has a connection to victory, it is just fricken wrong! I would like to go to 7-eleven and punch somebody instead I am grasp the moment and get in the garage an' reflect on the "good ole' days" then and now.

Nine years later, I don't a bit better about that awful act or the ones responsible. I don't discuss my feelings much, but it was very helpful to see this thread today. Any tolerance I might have had for Islam left me that day and isn't coming back.

I lost four people in the attacks - 3 neighbors, and one close friend, as well as all 5 members of my local ladder on shift that day.
My younger brother gave up the getting-drunk/laid experience of college to go serve in Baghdad and I, and my entire family fully support the building of an islamic community center (it's not a mosque FYI) in a neighborhood full of drug dealers, strip clubs, and Off-track betting joints.

Why? Because the US was FOUNDED on religious freedom for all. That means something, and that something means religious freedom for everyone.

I actually lost people in the attacks, so please take a moment before telling me that my opinion isn't valid.

PS. 2 blocks is pretty far away on an island that's only 9 blocks wide. We're talking about Manhattan here people, if you've ever ACTUALLY BEEN THERE, you'd know that 2 blocks is often a totally different neighborhood.

what killed me was watching people jump from the towers! i was like FUCK! then i watch the second plane hit! no fucken way that just happened!!!!! wow how much has changed in the way we live. may those soul's rest on peace forever!

  26. I remember watching it all on TV and the feeling of dread it gave me. I knew that as an ally of the USA I would very soon be alongside your boys in some shit hole country.
    And I was.
I will spare a moment for all who have died as a result, including 5 mates of mine in combat.

This day has changed the lives of every serving member of Australia's Military and continues to do so today. We are still out there loosing soldiers fighting alongside the US.

I will never forget and I will always remember they who we lost.

    Lest We Forget.

    Doc.

I would like to say God Bless to all . I remember this day as if it had just happened . I was working on a college here in upstate NY and it come across the radio and within minutes the site got very very quite and everyone started gathering around the radios. I remember just feeling helpless as I listened to the broadcasting. After a few more minutes the job site had shut down and everyone began to leave. I have to say this event has change me forever and I really cherish my family and feel for those who had lost theirs.
Well I am breaking down so GOD BLESS all of you and everyone else that this has effected............

Such a shame that the good intentions of this thread must be tarnished with anger and arguing, and much of it directed to fellow HAMB members and fellow Americans.
Ladies and Gentlemen,......let's remember that day, together and with dignity. Please...just this one day, can we just act like people who would like to honor the day, the dead and the ideals of America?

It's a day that changed my life forever. I WILL remember.
