I'd do it, but then again I'm partial to the style and shape of the late 40s/early 50s cars.

    The choice is yours, bub.

No IMO there are alot less Imperials than 1950 Plymouths, & the Plymouth needs alot more work. Get to work on the Imperial that is a cool cruizer...........

I'd take the Plymouth unless we are talking demolition derby.

well im going to try to go look at the plymouth to see what kind of damage it really has , rust dents ect i dont really care about the motor or dents but if it has really bad rust then i might not go for it.

I'd probably go with the Plymouth, especially as you already have the Continental. look forward to seeing what you finally end up with.

    Moterhome, TR7 (?), THEN 300...

  14. I don't think that is a 50, it has 49 bumpers on it and a 46-48 grill on it but has a 50 dash. they are both worth about the same.

yeah he said it was a 50 , but like i said i need to check it out, i dont want to say yes then back out because it turned out to be a rust bucket, he wants a trade or 1200 for it , i think ishould just trade and save the space , it should be an easy fix, as for the impala i will ask him what esle he wants to get rid of.

    I think that's a Volvo Amazon you're looking at. It certainly ain't a Chrysler 300.

As for the trade, as long as the guy doesn't want the Imperial for a demo derby, then I'd say it's a fair deal. I like those big 60's Mopars, but I like a '49 Plymouth coupe too, so either one would be good for me, and since you already have a Lincoln Continental, the Plymouth seems like a natural choice.

yea your right im leaning more towards the coupe even tho one the green hornet movie comes out the imperial might go up in value but thats also a chance im going to take , plus this looks like one of the most complete coupes ive ever seen , and if the body is sound then i got me a business coupe

I'd go for the coupe if it had the proper paperwork. That's a cool looking car.

are you looking at the caddy with the stacked lights mid 60s or the 122 volvo-is that a mg-b or prhaps a rare datsun1600 or2000 between the two. If you look real close you see just the faint remains of Lee Pettys name on the roof from when he raced it @ Daytona on the beach..

The coupe is a '49 by all indications. I have one of the same year. The grille, dash, bumpers and rear fenders are correct for the '49.........as for the cars in the background, the sports convt looks like a Triumph Spitfire and the Volve 122 does bear a p***ing resemblance, at that distance and poor photography, for a 300 or Imperial.............but I too think it's a Volvo...........pity though

I'd go with the coupe. If you need to unload it, the coupe will sell faster than a 4 door.
