Went on a road trip yesterday to Kelowna,B.C. to pick a coupe body. This will eventualy replace the tudor body on my avatar. Body is only missing a drip rail on one side, the rest the parts were inside the body including the trunk lid. Has the usual rust along the bottom edge but i can fix that. A sedan rear window panel will replace the soft back window.

why not start a fresh project as apposed to a body switch? the one in your av looks pretty sweet.

That tudor body looks pretty good to me and I'd drive a ways to get one of those for my project.

Brian can do a body swap faster than most of us can tie our shoes. Trust me, he's had practice.

Looking forward to seeing you stitch the coupe body back to life.

That is what is called a Leather Back, the top material came down the back to the belt moulding, the rear window was a wood frame that the material was tacked to. I've always liked the look of them stone stock or Rodded. :)

I have always wanted a coupe and was never able to find one when i needed it. I settled for the tudor because it was available and was a nice straight complete Saskatchewan body with minimal rust. The coupe came from the same guy who goes back and hauls them to B.C.
I have a 39 Ford deluxe coupe in the shop that has to be done first for a friend, but i can collect a few parts and get it media blasted while it waits. I'll use the cowl/dash and maybe the doors from the sedan to speed things up.
Model A's are just like a big Mechano set, just undo a bunch of nuts and bolts and they come apart.:)

Not sure the doors will work. At least 30 31 tudor doors will not work in a 30 31 coupe. Not sure about the 28 29's.

Hmmm! I am going outside in a while, i will measure them to make sure. I was told they were the same on 28/9's. But that may not be right.
    Thanks for the warning.

Measured the doors and they are the same. And yes it's very straight, just a couple of small dents on top of the rear quarters by the trunk lid.

Stole this from a HAMB thread Chris started. Your Coupe body is a Special[IMG] Coupe.

just sayin, two cars are always better than one.ive always had to sell mine to build the next, but to have a coupe and a sedan would be the balls.

Picked up the back window section today from a coupe, complete with the inside moulding. I do get lucky sometimes. Was at the right place at the right time. Another guy had gathered the needed pieces for someone else and the other guy changed his mind. Good for me. I'll post a picture later.

Here is a pic of the coupe back window panel i got last Wednesday, and i was able to get a pair of decent rear fenders for it today. Hope to get it apart and delivered to the media-blaster soon.

b-bob. 56No Brakes has the same body style that we are working on. We used the back window area out of a tudor or sedan. What do you plan to do about the missing beltline molding that wraps under the quarter window area? We are brainstorming how to recreate it to complete our transformation of the car into a coupe. Here's a pic of what we are working with.
