This was a spiritual experience for me! When Dick came blasting up that alley hill it was like a vintage hill climb at its best. The roadster looked to handle like a dream and handled the rough hill like it was nothin. The ride is not only well engineered but is an amazing visual sailing down the street. That bad boy inline sounds so sensual thru those mello-tones as well. Thaks for the hospitality and letting me experience this uber cool event. ~Sololobo~

:D WOW,I could get use to this. The car is light and responsive, very fun to drive. I'll hate too, but I have to take it apart after the holiday.Time to press for paint. Thanks for coming to garage night, that was fun. :D

Get 'em Dickie!!! That thing is awesome man!!! I think you should run it with 6.50x16" slicks sometimes too as a mid 50's dragster!!!! Congrats man.

  8. Wish I could have gottan away last night to attend...got a buncha company coming for the weekend. Damn.
Car is more outrageous than the last roadster and just a better car all the way around. Very well thought out and executed. Rob's car looks a lot different with it's new paint job too...checked it our at the drags last weekend.

    Dick...plans for paint?

I really like the red and white photoshop Ollin put up. I'm thinking in 55 Chevy beige and red. Always my favorite chevy color two tone. The slicks are an option and probably needed for traction. It spins these 18's at will in second.

Dick, you have to be floating on cloud 9. Thanks for the updates. I'm happy for you and I admire your determination. Can't wait to see it in person again. Gary

:D We took the hoodlum out to SOT Bucks farm and ran it up and down the highway a bit. The T-5 is cool, shift to 5th and your above 80 just off idle.:D It passed the beat it up suspension test in my alley and drove the highway straight and true at speed. Brakes function, seems to go far and bring you back. I like that.

It looks heavy with the nice round bodywork and tube chassis.
Have you weighed it yet? I'm sure its not too big I was just curious.

Have not had the chance to weigh the car. It will be interesting to see what it weighs.I do know that I've enjoyed the bit I've got to drive it.

Last nite was Dick's super-duper birthday party at he and wife Tess's
casa, what a great time with unbelevable hor-derves, fab main courses and wonderful brownies for a finish. Plus a deluxe iced drink selection , hospitality at its best. Thanx so much, a great time was had by all.We were blessed with some great toons from The Prarie Gators, The Mercury's, Blazing Banjos, and a full on rocknroll review. Please a bump to the top for the "Hoodlum" thread. ~Sololobo~

Here are a couple of road test pix, coming up to hi-way and then sailing down the hi-way. Not the best shots but security was tight at the test site and access was very limited.

Were they pre-drilled for the rotors? And what rotors and or brake assembly was used? Neat little hot rod you have there.
