Features Falcons done right?

Is that front apron, under where the bumper would go standard for the 60 model? My 63 doesn't have that and I like the look.
Does anyone know if it is a bolt on for a 63?

 

That's standard for the '60-61 Falcons...the '62 and later versions don't use that type of front end.

To change it out, I've been told over at TFFN that you'll have to have the '60-61 front fenders, radiator support, bumper brackets, and other year-specific parts to make it work....I like the style myself, but I'm not going to change all that crap on my '62 to get it.

I'm looking into building more of a custom rolled pan to get the same effect, even if the lower leading edges of the front fenders won't have the nice fade the early birds have.

Thanks Rob. I'm doing a Road Racer kind of style so I think that works really well. Might be worth the trouble.
Anyone else want to weigh in?

I'm selling a real nice 65 wagon in the classifieds if you're looking for a cool Falcon.

 

Here is the 62 I am working on now.The air ride is done and the 302/c4 is ready to go in.The paint will be flat black with HOC black pearl roof.I have a set of 65 Tbird buckets and stock console.I made a gauge cluster for it also.I hope to have paint done soon and be rollin by spring.

Here is my '63. I just finished painting her and redoing all of the interior, with a few more things to do. Just a daily driver, but a lot more fun than my old Subaru, for sure. I got a lot of inspiration from this thread.

Question for the longroof people - rust in the roof? Is rust on the inside of the roof above the doors and windowframes a thing these are known for? So I am talking on the inside of where the drip rail is located...

Nice work on the photos. The first page alone shows some interesting engine choices. Including... a transverse fitment... front wheel drive?
