can anyone post a picture of what twin holley 94's look like with a progressive linkage fitted???????thanks adrian
This is my 312 tri power done by ****ster27. Eliminate the front carb and linkage and you have your twin progressive linkage Not too hard to see.
Why not? If you think about it any regular 4 barrel carb is progressive. Whether its mechanical or vacuum secondaries, you run on the front 2 barrels then the rear two open PROGRESSIVELY by mechanical or vacuum operated means.
I agree with Dale. Running progressive 94's on a 2X2 manifold is plain silly, with NO benifit, only added work, trouble and cost. You will not see any milage improvement, if that's what you're after. Running progressive 2s on a 4 barrel manifold with an adaptor makes some sense, but a 4 brl would run better, 'cause it's bigger! Holley 94's only flow about 160-180 cfm, something many don't realize. Set them up "straight" and you'll like them much better.
Compare the manifold of a typical 2 x 2 with a 4 BBL and you'll see they are not the same. Flathead 4 BBLs have a big plenum under the carb-it's exposed to either the primaries or all four throats. 2 x 2s don't have that common plenum-if you open them progressively you're screwing up the mixture/distribution from front to back.
