    Gas ration permit

    Item 9186 zoom [​IMG] [​IMG] [​IMG] Description

    A gas permit of six gallons issued by C.R. Fogg on 7-30-45 to Earl M. Wood of Oxford County, Norway, Maine. It was void 9-30-45 to the 1932 Buick. Ration permits used during WWII allowed gas sales to be controlled.

    A mileage ration card for Leslie H. Flint of Norway.

    The folder held stamps for gasoline, which was rationed during World War II.

    Now, this is a scene I can relate to in the early 80's! My uncle wanted my Dad to paint his 65 F100 so my turned all of us kids loose with sanding blocks! Somewhere I have pics of that day..my Dad was so proud and so was my Pepaw!

    The movie on that marquee, "The African Queen" is a good movie and worth renting
    The African Queen is the name of his boat.
