I got out for just a few hours this morning to cover the annual hillclimb for four-bangers. It takes place at the entrance of Cajon P*** on an abandoned stretch of old Route 66.
Here's what I shot, in no particular order.....

I have no idea what was going on here...all I know is I liked it....:)

Toby...the part where the hillclimb was is not in use to the public. It is not an access road, it is blocked off. That part is just to the south of the Kenwood Ave. intersection at Cajon Blvd (old 66)....
The public can travel along Cajon Blvd. (old "66") from the Kenwood off-ramp to Cleghorn. Lots of good train watching between those points. I've been going there for 40 years just to do that.
Railroads started to go through there in 1885.
It's a great place to take a leak when going to and from Bonneville, too.
