Found this in some old pictures. I took it in the in the early 90's at Paso. I think its a D'agustino Kustom. What is the backwards roof off? Where is it now? Just curious.

But the most important thing is in the background is rick dores first notable build, the buick called breathless, it put him on the map and started his kustom career. and the pic was taken at paso, most likely in about 92 .

I think the rear wheelwell should have been a mirror image of the front one with a straight edge going towards the rear bumper...the reversed roof takes some getting used to, but it would likely grow on me...

  11. If my short term memory serves me right it was made out of 2 roofs. Both rear 1/2 's to pull off the unique sweep. Then 1 rear window made out of safety glass for windshield. I dug the concept.

He had a really nice '56 Buick before 'Breathless'...I met him in Havasu in that Buick way back in 1990...it may not have been his best effort, but it got him started...

It was covered in an older issue of Rod and Custom or Custom Rodder... in the early 1990s

I love it. It's my favorite. Fell in love with it at the 95 Sac Autorama.

How does he keep the rear window from exploding since it isn't safety glass?
