Haaalp!I just purchased an unfinished and heavily modified 1953 Studebaker, perhaps some may remember from Ebay's summer offerings.
Excellent craftsmanship over the past 35 years. BUT the VIN Tag was removed, and has gone to that parts bin in the sky and the only other number that I am aware of, stamped into the frame rail on the driver's side, has been buried behind the reinforcing used in the Mustang Rack installation. Anybody know where there might be another hidden stamping?

  2. I thought there was also supposed to be one on the lower flange of the rear crossmember way at the back, near the middle of the member. There was a lot of discussion about locating it, but I have never seen that one. All the ones I have seen would have been too rusty to read anything. I hope yours is better.

  3. i never seen any other stamp besides the body tag.

we talkin about a truck? iv gone over mine and have not found any other stamp besides the tag, mine has been media blasted and the body removed. so it was very clean.
