So I just want to let everyone know that I am having another garage party.

This time we are getting together just after the gathering of the faithful, which takes place the same day from 9am-3pm. (We aren't affiliated, but it's a great way to give the day the ol' one/two punch. Gathering in the morning, and the party in the evening)

    What: General Gow's Garage Party

When: Saturday, October 16th, about 4 PM (whenever the gathering lets out) til midnight-ish.

Where: 321 South Precinct Street, East Taunton, MA 02718

I am about 17 miles from the show, via Route 105, easy travel.

Questions: email me at generalgow@gmail.com or call me 508.272.9209

Details: I'll have some burgers and dogs and such, bring fancier stuff and use the grill if you want. I'll have a little beer, bring more if you want. I'll have lots of soda, bring more if you want.

Plenty of off street parking. Good parking on the gr*** for lots of hot rods.

Let me know if you think you'll stop by. I'd love to get an idea of a head count. Hope to see you there. Should be a good time had by all.

GG Garage Party, now featuring Hot Wheels Drag Racing (tm)!

courtesy of everyone's bud, 100% Matt, we'll have 1/64 die cast racing at the party. and none of that bracket ****. straight heads up.

we can even run for pinks...

so after a little research by matt, and a little discussion, we're gonna emulate the Austin Diecast Drags rules, which are super simple. i think that fella is a HAMBer too.

"Stock: Open to all 1/64 scale cars that have not been modified in any way.
Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Johnny Lighting etc. all welcome."

Modified: Open to all 1/64 scale cars that have been modified to run faster.
Weight, wheels, axles, etc. are all allowed.
    No external propulsion systems please!
Car must fit in the staging box, which is 5-1/2” long and 3" high."

The "Orange Peel" will be there, on display, and possibly race (definitely NOT for pinks) if it can be tuned in time!:D

Hmmmm...what excuse can I come up with for not attending again this year, Mark???

I might even have to make it this year, just so I can pee in that corner you've got me backed into!;)

It's always looked like a great time, I can't wait to finally make it this year!:D

I wouldn't run that for pinks either, some of these little die cast cars go for 1K or more, that looks like a candidate.

dave, 40 miles south. about 15 minutes from the show taking place earlier the day of the party. good times are guaranteed. and i think your clients in boston are feeling a bit neglected...

NO. Throw the party Saturday night, then sober up at the show on Sunday....if the rain date has to be used.
