Art & Inspiration 2011 HAMB Calendar Photo Submissions

So it's that time again. HAMB calendar time (8th Annual)... You supply the photos... I put it together... You buy one for everyone you know... Ryan gets the proceeds... and you get a kick ass calendar with images suitable for framing. Everyone wins. Previous calendars are collectors items now and, they have won an award or two, so... submit your work and get famous.

Here's the skinny. I need photos. Not your everyday run of the mill, this is my car at the local cruise night photos... Photos that when you look at them, you automatically get it. You know, that same feeling when you stop and just stare at your ride. The photos in the calendar are about passion... spreading the gospel. Think Garage magazine, Church magazine, etc.

Requirements: Post your submissions in this thread. You MUST have hi res version of the photo for it to be used. I've gotten some really unbelieveble photos in the past, but couldn't use them cause they were taken on the camera's lowest quality setting. That depresses me. And if you post a pic you thought was cool from the HAMB that you didn't take, then find out who took it and then post it. I'm not chasing people this year.

Regarding pin up shots. That would be cool, but they have to be tasteful and artistic. This ain't Hustler.

Format: The calendar this year will be HORIZONTAL.

I'll say it again. Horizontal. I know that will make alot of you very happy.

It will be a completely different animal this year. The format is going to change. Also a big change for this year is COLOR PHOTOS. I'll give you a hint. I like the old kodachrome look.

Deadline is October 18 with final selection that week. If I can't get ahold of you pretty quickly for your photo, I will move on.

Well my photos are true black and white so that at least makes me feel like somewhat competent haha!!! Funny I just got started shooting things in Black & White on my camera and here you go switching it up again.

 

I'll have to dig for the hi-res but I think I saved it

 

Prehaps for one of the summer months ???

Not complaining, but.........could they be printed on a different card stock this year? Mine still has the "curve out" to it. Just a little feedback from 1 person about last years calendar.

Bass had some awesome images in that thing. That sunset image labeled "Near Raton, NM" (you'll know the one I mean when you see it) is a stunner.
