I believe I might have this one. It is not the rustiest car here, but it is the rustiest car that is getting fixed (NOT parted). I'll add a photo of the floor pan if it pleases the viewers, but I'll tell you right now there is no floor pan. The car sat outside for a couple decades with all the glass broken out of it. Leaves filled the interior. You can guess the rest.
Look closely at the chassis - it only took a few minutes to cut the body away because the firewall and rear wheel wells were the only thing holding it on!

The shell looks better in the disassembly photo because it's been sandblasted AND ospho'd AND I'd already replaced the inner and outer rockers on both sides. (The passenger side rocker I removed by stepping on it - it broke off onto my garage floor. No kidding.)

Thanks man! But arent we due for an update on your build thread soon?? I would much rather be working with 35/36 stuff lol ! I have a pretty wasted 36 tudor body...(it was $100) if I can scrounge up enough stuff over the next few years I hope to magically turn it into a 3 window

Ive been eyeballing a '64 el camino that had a leaky windshield that rusted out the dash and floor, but it's better than my wrecked one that the drivers door is 1/2" off the steering wheel, i still drive it some though, but it's uncomfortable and the windshield is shattered

  8. Wow! some work required ! Ive got a 3 window that looks about the same ,hey someday right?

I vote for this guy (fitzee)! Not only is his car rustier than most here, but he is obviously in the process of fixing and saving it. I don't care how rusty the shell in your back yard is, I care how rusty the car you're FIXING is.
Yes, the '55 is rusty but this one just seems...crustier?

  22. Remember when Hemmings put out a calendar every year showing pictures people sent in of derelict cars sitting in godforsaken fields with trees growing up through them? Rust never sleeps!
