2. Anyone have PICS of this? Saw a great article of po boy tips for doing a Shoebox Ford and in there they had the drop in Mustang gas tank to repair and give new trunk floor for little over $100. Just wondering how the filler neck is run?

Filler neck is right in the center. You need to run a vent line to outside.

  4. Yeah, I noticed that looking at them on ebay, would like to see pics of how you routed filler tube to gas door or are you venting them and raising trunk lid to fuel?

  5. We have been rebuilding this car and are getting close to getting finished with cleaning up this little Shoebox . When it came here it had more that its shares of isues that need some major attention from the air suspension, wiring, door hood trunk fit to the worst of all the metal fab and thick ass mud work. All the custom metal fab on this car was done by someone who just did not care or did not know what they were doing. Thier were long deep cracks in the body filler just about ever where thier was an welded seam. The chop was about 3/4" lower from side to side in the rear window area and there was no rear window lower or upper inner supports or trunk pannel to package tray supports. See pics of cracked weld seams. We have repaired most of these issues and are tyring to have this car at traces show in long beach.

  10. Just dragged one home, not sure what i'm doing with it yet. Started one over 35 years ago with a 390 fe cyclone 4 spd but never finished it. Thinking stock bodied on this new one to start and let it evolve. Deep down i'm leaning sled but i'm getting lazy in my old age.

Here’s a few updates on my 50 ford from over the weekend, Pie sections complete both hood and deck Lid, I started with that about a month ago, I also started installing my Appleton spotlights.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

no taillight progress yet, after lead east i've been busy with school so i haven't been able to do anything to it, but drive it, i have to do the side glass before i go on to taillights so i dont have to leave the car in the garage..after side glass is done, i think im going to notch the frame in the back and possibly possibly dropped spindles in the front, thennnn ill go onto the tailight area...

Wow I just had a flashback to my tornado damaged shoebox (it's black too).

Don't give up on it just yet. You could put a Carson top on it with some 'vert doors and a cut down windshield header. Or find a new roof. I got one from a guy in Detroit for $300. It was cut in the A post and below the 1/4 window to the weatherstrip flange in the trunk. As bad as that looks it is possible to save it.
