While looking around on a guys private car grave site I saw this car and instantly fell for it. But id like to know for sure what it is before I make him an offer on it. me and my pal Marty (dynaflash_8) think its a '50 Ford shoebox that has a different roof and been channeled. Its sure a custom.

So what do you all think?

  2. Cool! I'd say it started as a shoebox too. That's had a TON of work done to it. Sectioned, radiused wheel wells, etc., etc.

Holy custom, Batman! A sectioned hardtop! Ya gotta get that, if it's reasonably priced. Even if the frame is bad...you can get another frame. Chopping a car is popular, but there weren't a lot of guys willing to take on a full section-job. A sectioned car is fairly rare...I wouldn't be surprised if that one has a history as a show-car. Man...it looks good. Good luck. Let us know.

I'm guessing that before this thread is done we'll have some history on this one!

Looks like it needs to be saved. I agree...51 hardtop. I usually dislike sectioned cars but this one looks good

Something seems fishy about this car. Looks a little too finessed to just be a junker failed custom project laying out in somebody's auto graveyard. Must be some kind of history with this one.

Nice find! You got to try and get it. If you can't afford it you got to let others in your area know about it so someone can get it and restore it.
