So i saw an ad on craigslist about two weeks ago, and thought thats the car for me! So i emailed the owner asking if they would trade for a 57 chevy hardtop i had. They said no. SO i put the car up for sale and sold it five days later, after counting my money and waveing goodbye to the new owner i ran back into the house to call the owner of this 35 ford.

When i got back in the house i saw my computer had rebooted and id lost the ad, so i serched for the e-mail and it was gone. I was so bummed out and made a wanted ad hopeing that it hadnt been sold. With no reply i started looking at 50-54 chevys. Then after about a week and a half i see the ad again. So i called and left a message then e-mailed a couple hours later. Got my appointment to see the car today. I was so excited i could bariley sleep.

Well this is what i ended up with. Its pretty cool, theres some issues of course. But its got some cool history to it. It used to have the truck bed deal common for depression gas rations. It was all fixed with original sheetmetal from another car, and very well i think. It also came with a bunch of reciepts from the 50,s up to the 70's as well as insurance reciepts. The recepts are from glendale and hawthorne area. Well i guess not that cool.

Well it runs and drives, the owner said the brakes are broken but a little fluid and some bleeding did the trick. I feel really lucky because of the way it all came together. anyway heres some pics

not sure yet but i think like 2-3 in front and more in back. I can sit up straight but its got swivel buckets in it that gotta go. My plans are to put some shinny speed parts on the motor, nice black or silver paint, Tuck and roll interior. Maybe make it a taildragger, Can you bag the stock rearend by removing the spring and adding a panhard bar and a third link?

I like the '50 Lincoln steering wheel. I don't think I've ever seen a '35 with Wide 5 wheels on it before, what's up with that? I take it the car has '39 brakes, you mentioned putting fluid in it.

Any idea when the chop was done? Neat car, would be cool to know more history on it.

Congrats on your luck. We all have stories of "The One that got away", but to get a second chance at it is amazing. Other than the sweet chop, what else has been done to it? Where do you start?

Yep 39 brakes, im unsure of keeping the wide five wheels. Maybe theyll go on the RPU and itll donate its 46 ford brakes, but i like the wires on the rpu. The chop was done recently and very well. Unfortunetly i didnt get much history as it was the late owners wife that sold it to me.
