Love the transition from the cowl to the door.

It's an excellent shape, and the execution could not have been better.

Being as good as you are, and the age you are at, you're going to be one of those guys they write books about in 50 yrs time.

Chris. I'm absolutely speechless, your work is incredible. I've just checked out you're website too, unfortunately too far away to see your work in person just happy to see it here.

Excellent work. Big effort for sure. Makes everyone realise even in the US the roadster body is hard to come by. Glad I have my cowl doors and dash stuff stashed for another project.

Keep up the progress pics please.

Its a whole lot easier for me to work on thing off the car. So I cut the quarters off of the car. That way I can patch and repair them and then re-attatch.

That's just about hilarious. Here I am sick to my stomach that my quarters are cut off the car and here you are cutting them off to make them better!

The doors and the cowl look great, what will the inside top of doors look like. Got a pic of the stock roadster inside door panels up to top?

Since I will be playing with the profile of a new top I was kicking around the idea of moving the area where the top folds into back an inch or two, maybe to give the chopped top a more gradual transition/slope to trunk area. Make sense?

    Good point!
And with the chop the roof line comes down so maybe that will make the back of vert to turtle deck look more "angled" if you will..............

Thanks again Chris for the pic's looks like it's gonna be doable, hopefully soon you will be asking "what rear end treatment & deck lid opening do you want"!

I have a nice Duvall for a 36 roadster... Came off a wall in a two man shop that had there since the fifties. Wish I had a use for it.

Got the bottom all patched up, and ive been working on smoothing out some of the top of the quarter. Ill replace most of the top when its back on the car and we figure out what type of trunk opening he wants.

Just imagine the prep for the prototype at Dearborn in those days. From drawing board thru the sculpted 1/4 size models...the approval from Henry Himself...then on to the stamping dies, and all the detail and butting-up of parts & panels. (this was usually done in the timespan of two years...so look what is unfolding in front of you, gentlemen.
Absolutely a milestone in my life, what a thing to witness!
Again, my T Touring bodywork is going to be much easier now...

I finished up the drivers quarter today, and got it back on the car. Defiantly a lot better now.
