  13. I'll second the Franklin ID. Vertical ribs on the radiator face is a very Franklin styling detail.

Interesting truck in Springfield, MA. It looks like the top material over the driver's area is held in place with snaps, and is removable like you'd see on some open front limousines of the era.

Looks like a '29 Packard seven passenger sedan, and judging from the clothes and point of interest, I'd say they're dealing with a vapor lock.

Twin, my guess is Brimingham, about 1923.

Hey, Twin, back in the day, how'd they deal with vapor lock? Didn't they pour some denatured alcohol into the tank???

    -----------------
It looks like a '28 or so White "Town
    Car Delivery"
' truck. It was a deluxe,
    and intentionally 'limousine-styled' delivery
truck intended for businesses who wanted
to project an "upscale" image. They were
extremely rare beasts, even when new and
I doubt that any have survived. I posted a
    circa-1928 "Town Car Delivery"
advertising pic, along with a bunch of other
vintage White truck ads on another HAMB
    thread.

A couple of questions about the fire truck......

Would the chains over the rear dual wheels have been put on for the photo?

    Are the front tyres "special"?

Serious looking group - perhaps a funeral that day.

Not RARE at all! Everybody has one! And they're built everywhere!

J.S. Shaw, manager of the Hammond Lumber Co. leaving Mill City for Astoria Colorado. The car is a circa 1910 Stevens-Duryea.
