I have been trying to buy 3 International 1 1/2 ton trucks for 26 years. I saw them when I was 16 and I still want them. Someday they will be mine.

So I finally let my curiosity get the best of me. Along the path where I walk my dogs, I could see a pile of car parts, and I finally decided to check it out today. I have no idea what it is? Anyone know? The rear bumper seems to be the most intact part of the car. Kind of sad, but it looks like it was in a bad wreck and then was left to sit in this field like so many others. The pictures aren't great because they are from my cell phone, but here they are.

Might be better to go back to the original post. Oakleaf Auto Salvage, the old yard. The new yard next door is a different owner. Don Oakleaf started the yard, but passed some years ago. His son took it over and good for him for not crushing it out!!

Could be, what's left seems to be a bit more square bodied and there is some wood in the scrap, so it might be older. I know hard to tell from the pictures. There is one pic with a door handle but it didn't come out well.

  18. One could save that roof, and use it to fill in the top on some old coupe. Looks close to flat, and has ribs for strength.

Anybody recognize those side mirrors? Are they aftermarket J.C. Whitney type things? My uncle is an electrician and was given a pair that he found covered in dust up in some attic he was rewiring. He gave them to me. No real casting identification. They are pretty neat and this is the first time I've seen another pair.

Packard didn't make a woody like this, but this is a respectable attempt at making one from a Packard six sedan, c. 1927 that deserves some TLC or at least a better home. Novadude55 - got space?

I could do this all day. I will sneek in some that will or will not break your heart. Cheak this one, starting to melt into the ground. Not that bad for just sitting for years. Farm truck though, every panel beaten to heck.
