Nope, not B. Crawford. Besides, he drove, on the show, Buicks. Rather doubt he'd be featured in a advertizment for another make.

Fab shot of an LST at Normandy, June 1944. Though these ships
were specially built with shallow draft for beach-landing of tanks
(with the tanks fired up in the hold!), they could haul a ton of OTHER
crap, too, when circumstances called for it. These photos are
THANKS to the General George Patton Museum, Fort Knox, Kentucky.

The LST building at Fort Knox, KY, where the problem of warming
up tanks in an LST's hold were overcome with a special ventilation
system. Betcha Hilter didn't think we could pull this off! (Used in
both WWII theaters of war, LSTs were not retired from military
    service until 2002! WOW.)

Gotcha, Mazooma & NovaDude! And as a matter of fact, that's not
the real Chooper but his twin brother Hymie. Nyuk, nyuk. (The only
thing REAL there was the actual MoPar ad from '59, actually.)

  21. Ad states ". . .star William Lundigan. . ." (the fine print - I'm almost too old to see it too  )

  22. Post pics that YOU like then! Make the thread better then by contributing, instead of "I'm kinda over this thread now" and "no thanks". The great thing about the HAMB and this thread is that you can change it by posting what you want!.

Hey, VintageRide. Sure have to agree with you. And, the "yeas" lately are drowning out "nays" like him.

Hell, yeah, we love old cars, especially hotrods built in the '40s-'60s mold. But we also dig the TIMES that frame our era of hotrodding. THIS is a broader thread, and it does just that. And it has relevance to 'rodding, or Ryan and his sharp-eyed editors would have yelled for us all to rein the scope in somewhat, right?

(Oh, and I seem to remember a LOT of 'vettes made '65 and earlier. Give my left you-know-what for a '63 split window coupe!!!! Oh, mama!)

Even President Kennedy remarked favorably on this car
(not something a chief exec normally does!). This beautiful
rendering is from "The Corvette Story" (www.webcars.com/corvette/1963.php).

Last one. The Edsel may try some people's patience,
but it looks great in the rain here.
