I hope they also know 'sick' is a compliment.

And Knuck from Indiana (modelA30)... I understand having pride in building your own ride and knowing all about it, but you should have the same pride in knowing what the hell you are talking about when you bash another country's car scene. They DO build their own, and they are building some great ones.

Toshi, welcome to the HAMB. Arigato gozaimasu for posting the beautiful pictures. Ignore the haters.

Anyone who's never lived in Japan for a while has no clue about the car culture there. I've lived in SOCAL for a number of years and in Japan. The Japanese car culture is every bit as good as the one in SOCAL. It's different in many ways, but it's certainly just as strong. And, in general, they have to work harder and pay more to realize their automotive dreams than we do, and put up with more regulatory nonsense.

Once again proving that hot rodding is the great denominator! No countries, no boundaries, just cool cars and the folks that love them.

No one was claiming credit for anything ya douche. Learn to read already... Like has been said so many times before... Barris, Watson, Hines, all the greats built cars for others and not themselves. I guess they suck now. And the guys that paid to have things like the Hirohata built suck. And quit yelling. I could care less about respect from a close minded douche like you.

  12. I keep wanting to reply to that guy that is bashing toshihide, but why? I have said it and plenty others have too, they build their own and they do it well. Geez the guy just wanted to show The Hamb'ers that don't already know what the car culture scene is like in Japan. I know for myself, Nagoya and Mooneyes are on the top of my Must Do List

  13. Welcome to the HAMB, Toshi! Thanks for sharing your beautiful, creative, amazing car culture with us.

I'm such a fan of your style of building Customs & Lowriders in Japan. Very creative and you guys do things so well! Please post more as your time allows...

  20. It is very expensive to own and maintain a vehicle in general in this country, let alone old American Iron. Rigid annual inspections, mandatory compulsory insurance based on vehicle weight and engine size, gas prices, toll road costs, and parking/storage are issues that would make an owner have to be very dedicated. Dedication is the mantra here as well. the Prettiest 57 Chev ragtop I have EVER seen was in Tokyo. In general these cars that are here are (re)built, maintained and restored better than new.

Oh, yes there are racoons here, but more than likely it is an imported culture thing.
