Dumbest thing an "EXPERT" has said about your ride?

recently at a benefit car show, I was told matter of factly by an "expert" that '37s didnt have this kind of grille...he knew the headlights were correct though,haha

 

Those are actually getting pretty rare around here, seems everybody makes them into dirt cars. Cool car, but prepare for the bashing you'll take for putting it on here.

 

Yup,theres lots of that going around. guys who believe nothing will ever be a hot rod if it was built after 1960. I got my opinion about their rat rods so they can have theirs about mine.

 

what get me is when I go to a car show and ask some questions about a guys car and either he don't know shit about the car or maybe he just dont wanna talk- I mean its about how he plumbed his brakes or ran a fuel line or even the back space on his rims comon now maybe a new sign "Don't touch, don't ask and don't bother"

 

I know its tough to find for posers, however as stated on the main page

Has happened a couple of times, guys looking at my 60 Vette and ask if it's a steel body, because the first one's were made with steel bodies. Right???

And they would be correct. There are plenty of cool cars that were built after 1940..........none of them are "Hot Rods" though. BTW 1960 is twenty years too late.
