thanks guys! for everyone said we made it look easy, i have to admit, a shoebox is probably the easiest 50's car to chop minus a pickup truck, and I still have tons to learn as I am no master metal man like some other people on this site. I am just trying to do my best and it is what it is... i've had this car since i was 16, im 21 now and still have a lot of work to do before paint..however I feel i am learning a lot through this build, which is part of the reason i decided to stray away from building a mild custom as i figured I wouldn't learn as much from building a mild custom rather a radical custom

and yes, the x-51 is one of my favorite shoeboxes among many others such as the junior conway car...hence the similarities between that my car and that car.

looks cool. It kinda reminds me of the way Kustom777's shoebox started out before he went fullllllllllll kustom.

It's certainly on it's way to full custom !

  9. How about 1960 Cadillac fin tips, including the lights. If they fit, it may finish it off nicely. Leave the shoebox lights in place though.

no progress on the fins or anything, been pretty busy with school and stuff....probably going to do the side windows before i address any more bodywork..so i can leave the car outside...

i have shoebox coupe popout windows on there way, i could've made them roll down, if i can get the coupe popout windows to work, i think ill like how they look better...

You going to try and put taillights in the fins, or leave it as is?

I like that you're car is unique, and yet traditional. Too cool.
