Hows it going, need some help identifying some mid 50's chevy parts, im helping a freinds widow clean up and sell some of her husbands car parts and i found a few things im not certain on, i have this pair of tailights that i was thinking were posibly canadian chevy? and maybe the headlight rings too?

he had 53 and 54 chevs so i was thinking they were from one of those but they arent cause i know what 53and 54 taillights look like, could they have been an option?

The stuff will be available so if anyones interested, im not trying to make this a how much is it worth thread, maybe just a reasonable price estimate, she still has medical bills from her late husband so im trying to help her raise some funds.

    thanks
    jeff

Tail lights are 54, maybe 53 Pontiac. I think Royal shifter is right on the bezels-54(?), 55-56 Olds. The tail lights are not too common, will fit a Chevy.

The head light rings kinda look like the ones on my mom's 47 Cadillac.

    didnt pontiacs have round tailights?

i looked at pics of olds headlight rings and none had the flair.

I know the taillights fit the 53 and 54 chev, but im just trying to figure out that they are, i had a 54 taillight bezel i campared it to and it was exactly the same outside shape.

  8. Tailllights probably are also certain models of Canadian Pontiac.

i looked into that first, the canadian pontics just had normal chevy taillights in them.

anyone know what a fair price would be on these items?

My '58 and '57 Canadian Pontiacs have Pontiac taillights. The only things Chevy are the chassis and engine.

They're Guide lights, they should have the date molded into them.

  12. I think he means the 53-54 Canadian Pontiacs, there are some years in the 49-54 range, particularly some 53-54s, that look like a Chevy with a Pontiac grille stuck in it. I'm almost more surprised the Canadians didn't use these lights too.

But the wagon answer doesn't surprise me, 55-56 Pontiac wagons also share Chevy quarters and have a chrome filler with the round Pontiac light on it that bolts right into a Chevy fender for some instant customizing. By then the Canada version used a more pure Pontiac body shell.
