Here's my 53 olds, it's a nice driver with a 350Tbi/700R4 setup. It just needs to hit the ground and finish the interior Any ideas of how to lower it? 4" lowering blocks? Flip the top leaf spring? Is it possible to flip the front spindles? See ya! <a href='http://forumbilder.se' target='_blank'><img src='http://forumbilder.se/images/89162010121301aa7d.jpg' border='0' alt='Hosta bilder gratis på Forumbilder.se' /></a> <a href='http://forumbilder.se' target='_blank'><img src='http://forumbilder.se/images/bb1620101216188ddb.jpg' border='0' alt='Hosta bilder gratis på Forumbilder.se' /></a> <a href='http://forumbilder.se' target='_blank'><img src='http://forumbilder.se/images/99162010121704a993.jpg' border='0' alt='Hosta bilder gratis på Forumbilder.se' /></a>
OT or not, that is nice ^ X2 on the 2dr post on those GM body shells. Back in 68 my high school bud found a 65 Buick Skylark Gran Sport 2dr post on the far back lot at a dealer. 4 speed, loud pipes, maroon w/ black interior, whites with no hubcaps... I can still see it like it was yesterday
A bit OT, but my low buck 67 Cutlass, 455, best of 12.44 @ 112 on reg tires (no slicks or DOTs). I'll post my '55 post 88 project if can find a pic....
from the education I am getting from this site the proper term is this is going to be closer to a "Street Freak". It was on its way to the crusher, so I traded a wore out 454 Chevy for it. I had to cut the floor/rust/bondo/chicken wire out from firewall to tail lights. the frame rusted in half. After being on here looking around, I really cant wait to run the piss out of this car. This has the S-10 up grade kit on it now.... I was thinking something like this ..... bad photo chop sorry there is another thread on here some plac.I will try post a link to more pics this was just a quick mock up....
this how looked before the high school project went bad....for them good for me . they took it apart ,sold everything off. I got the body, doors, trunk lid, front fenders.the hood I got from someone else. thats all. I figured, better than junking it. I will see what I can do with it. this is not my first Olds,or build.
My 50 ........ Built it in 1970, sold it in 1972, bought it back in 2009......... 59k original miles. It's been great having it back !!
just got back from South Dakota got my 53 Studebaker coupe title handled finally so were driving through this small town when i spy what looked like a Chevy 4 dr from a distance Circle around and low and behold it's a 50 Olds 88 4 door, checked out the car nice chrome hood rocket & hood, grilles, bumpers & crown moldings these sure would look nice on my 50 Olds coupe Went in to the shop to see if it's for sale, in the corner or the shop there's a covered 50 Olds 88 2 dr sedan the guy said no the 50 Olds is for my 2 dr sedan the car was in primer looked pretty nice he said it had a 324 Olds Rocket here's the 50 Olds 88 parts car that's not for sale
Great looking ride KQQLCAT. Like the flat top post look. I had a 61 flat top post Catalina. Miss that car.
Another nice ride. 57 Chevy's are a dime a dozen but you don't see many 57 Olds. Great look that 3 piece back window.
I know this one is a little off topic, but I was hopeing all you guys out there could help. This is a 69 wagon. Not very unusal, but for the 442 4 speed shifter poken through the floor. Can anyone tell me about this. The floor around the shifter is factory stamped and it has been in this spot since 1984. I think it would be cool as a tow car for a race car or jet boat.
