    how about no? :eek::D

  2. Ok I'll say it Pontiacs aren't fast. Too big n heavy. Now a well built Pontiac mill in a light car that's a different story all together.

    Oh and Chebby has two Bs.

    I like Paul's 1962 Pontiac Catalina, that's an asphalt buckler!

    Yep. That Hemi runs like a scalded dog and is reliable enough to make the long road trip. Reliability I think is part of being a bad ass mill. My vote is for Bass and his 331.

    I defining "Bad Ass" via 1946. Full Thickstun flatty with all the trimmings. Blackstone pump, restored 282-2 Clay Smith cam, hand crafted mushroom tappets set in bronze lifter bores, Schiefer aluminum flywheel, Auburn clutch, angle drive Vertex, Filcoolator oil filter.

    If it's a contest lets set some standards, looks, reliability, power, pre 64, has to run on street tires. Sure there are others that look better, some may sound better and some may be faster, but in a true hot rod sense it has to be Abones. It really is all about driving them.

  8. And besides the blower didn't even work.

    What you see in the movies ain't necessarily so.

    I've looked at this thread a few times and have yet to figure out what "Bad Ass" means in respect to an engine.
    Is it the most powerful for it's cubic inches or the most powerful period, or is it the one with the most fake blowers and carburetors stacked on top of each other??

    it's like porn- ya know it when ya see it! And by the way- blowers are like boobs- big fake ones look great, but just aren't the same once it's time to get down to business.

    This is what I have been working on, Its a 54 truck 235 with a sneider 265S cam, Edmunds Intake with holly 94's Fenton exhaust, Block has been smoothed and painted green with gold pearl then pinstiped (even in spots you barely see) and I machine turned the top of the stock valve cover.

  15. hotflint, that's a beautiful engine. Almost a shame to hide it in an engine compartment...
    I like your run-in stand, too.

  16. Well you did say mill!
    Ok My favourite is my slant six when it had the 6 snowmobile carb set up on it. Here it is at Shannonville on its first night out.

  20. I suppose it depends on what you mean by bad ass...
    Not quite HAMB friendly, but I can't help myslef - we went 396 MPH, this afternoon. :D
    For the record (no pun intended), that's on gasoline, with a stock block, stroked stock crank, ported stock heads, and a flat tappet cam.
