This past weekend I tagged along with my friend Lenny who is buying a 36 Ford panel in North Idaho. It's at an old farm and low and behold there was a 1930 Model A roadster body. I asked about it and the guy said he got it in 1964. Said he had another that was cut up with an axe in 1937 and he dragged out of a ravine. He also said there was a 28/29 roadster body in the woods but it was pretty screwed up from loggers. I looked it all over and made a deal on all three of em. The red and black one is really decent, the 28/29 is pretty much gone but has a nice cowl, dash rail, stantions and sub frame. I think if you searched you could piece together a 28/29 roadster with whats there. The third cut up one is pretty screwed up. The deck lid will go on the red car, the rear section is going to my brother to fix his roadster and the rest will probably be parted out/sold. It's too bad...other then the quarters being cut it is a nice body. So here they are from today. My Brother, his girlfriend and my pal Lenny went and spent a couple hours unearthing old Fords. It was a blast!! They have been in this barn for 45 or so years. At the car wash blowing years of dirt and grime away Back home, threw the red body on my 29's frame to see how she looked
you save so many awesome old cars! That's a real good find.... But you already knew that. I hope you got a ridiculously good deal. What's that make five roadsters now? You should build the red one and have both body year A roadsters. Edit: you're really making me want a roadster. Not that it would be very practical over here on the wet side.
Nice! I guess all the old tin is up in the North West right? Yesterday it was two '32 Tudors in Canada, now its A Roadsters. Great to see this stuff coming out of storage.

nice find!! I'm jealous! and hey.... you wouldn't have to chop your radiator if you swapped to that body....
Chris, I'm not saying you ****, BUT! You do exert a negative pressure. It's good this stuff was found by someone who will actually get the tin back on the road.
That was a good find and good as well that you made a deal while you were there and took it home. Im sure the PO had many emotions, that's him in the pics right? He was lending a hand and giving the Fords new life which is what he had planned long ago. tnrotter
