History Bob's Big Boy Broiler Opens In Downey!

Just look around the parking lot and I am sure you will be sayig it at least once through out the evening, there is alway good looking ladies at the Broiler !

 

What no comments about last nite . Great turn out with lots of never seen before cars . I got a exsited when that 56 150 Chevy rolled in with a straight axel. To bad Crazydaddyo had to wait so long for a tow with his minor rear end noise (but it still could have got home on its own), see he had to beg Bad Bob to release 1 of his many tow trucks that are on reserve .

Thanks to everyone that came out to the 1 Year Celebration of Bob's Big Boy Broiler opening. I have been in contact with Kevin about posting pics since I was too involved with the opperation of the show. Also a Big Thank You for understanding the parking set up, as Bob's is still an opperating resturant to the paying customer's of Downey and All surrounding Citys. To anyone that has pics post them, there can never be too many pics.

Just saw the Broiler on MAD MAN on AMC..........great shot of the awning and inside.................

 

Just finished watching it, Very Cool!. It would be Hot to see Jone as a waitress at the Broiler. To bad we'll never see the pictures of them getting bigger. If you don't understand that last line you didn't watch it .

 

I'm proud to be a part of the HAMB family. Thank you for coming out in force to celebrate the very 1st anniversary of our Broiler. It was an awesome day and an important milestone. JohnnyGee, Brian, Woody, JohnnyB...you guys are great--thanks for all your help with parking, etc...I know you guys were out there from dawn to dusk. Trying to get my computer back up so we can get some pix posted here, so please stand by.

 

brian ,woody and johnny G were the true die hards.... i just gave them a hard time... it was a great show and good turnout for the weather conditions... remember every wednesday and sat.. nights drive your ride down for cruise night....

I haven't been to Bob's Big Boy in 18 years or more, since we moved out of Cali when I was 10. I know we have 1 or 2 here in vegas but it wouldn't be the same. Bob's is a cali establishment.

 

I said I wanted a Big Boy Combination!, not a prostate exam!

 

Should have seen when Bobs air was let out at night. Joe's hand was on his A** , and I'm not the only one to see it.

 

Big Boy just had a chili-size. that wasn't fresh air

This isn't just any ol coffee shop book! This is the soon to be released Southern California Eats II ! It also has the New Bob's Big Boy Broiler on the cover! What a fitting 1st anniversary gift! Adriene and John have done it again .
If you have the 1st one ya gotta get this one too! Bun N Burger is on the cover of #1 in Good Ol Alhambra. A great place to grab b-fast as well as some good ol mesi-can food. The Broiler will always be my fave save though!

 

Aw, just read what you guys wrote, thank you so much! Sure hope y'all like the new book. We'll have to throw a cruise & book signing party at the BBBB as soon as it's released!

 

Real sad to read about George's Diner, the owners are such nice people, too.

Up date on collection for Georges Diner. Kevin and I talked and we are going to do a Diecast collection rather than cash. Then we are going to pick a date a cruz down a present them to Georges.
