I like it that your not scared of trying something different. Your Merc looks like something built in the late 50's early 60's. Projects are a lot tougher when you try something that no one has done before. I love the steering wheel. If your ever around Dewey stop by I'll buy ya a burger. Happy Trails, Mick
(I hope the google translator doesn't let me down lol) ce qui une belle voiture! Wow .... qui est une magnifique artisanat. Je dois admettre, je l'aurais jeté que le volant et d'insérer quelque chose d'autre en la façon dont vous le ressuscité est une véritable uvre d'art
This car is BEAUTIFUL! I would do wonders w/ one of these. I didnt know Peugeut made nice cars. Must be one nice model in a sea of POSs
I know how you feel! I´m sure there was a chopped one years ago, maybe yellow(?) four door, but it wasn´t a patch on this. The coupe is a handsome looking car anyway, but it´s crying out for a Hirohata style roof treatment.
And here is another nicely done Vedette Custom from France. (thanks ZED) I had to do a bit of Photoshopping on the last photo.
Thats the one - thanks Rik. It looks alright actually, but those windows must only be about 4" tall. The copper coloured car is nice too. I guess it strated as the four door with a trunk?
Great car my friend, thank you for showing it to us all. One connection that is universal and international is customs and hot rods. Enjoy cruising that baby around, very hip machine. Take care man ~Sololobo~
The yellow one never did the trick for me because of its pre 48, 4 door characteristics. However the copper thing is fabulous and dont recall seeing it, even on Riks.
Hey, Did Peugeot ever build a 2dr. 203 model? Maybe a 2/3 version of the Ohanesian 1940 Mercury built by Dick Bertolucci for Ohanesian, built from a 4dr 203? I can see a Matranga Merc clone from a 203, too. 'good thing the Vedettes & 203s are safe in France, & purchase & shipping would be insane to California..................... " Your head would look good on a pike "
Yeah they were 203 coupes: 953 exactly, kinda rare to make a custom out of it and a little bit expensive to buy if you find one.
Forget this , I ve never seen one in real .... The more usefull accessory you can find are a Constantin blower ( $$$$$ and probably to be rebuild $$$$ ) , or nice grilles . I don t remember who made the grilles .... But they may also be hard to find Edit , here s the grille , quite like a Buick
guitar man , don t take it bad , nothing personal and french is difficult . Just for fun , I did with Google a reverse translation of the translation it gave you . Here s the result : "what a nice car! Wow .... which is a beautiful craft. I must admit, I would have thrown the shuttle and insert something else in the way you raised is a work of art" I suppose the original was about this : What a nice car ! This is a wonderfull handwork ( not sure if it was handwork or handjob ) . I have to admit that I would have even thrown away the steering wheel and used anything else instead. The way you bring it back to life is quite a masterpiece . I m not english native ( french ) , so I m surely wrong , it s just funny the result any translator , even Google , can give sometimes Sorry , it s just funny ....
