TECH: Homemade BRASS TIMING TAGS!!!!!!!

I was wondering the same thing. I'd read this back when it was first posted and was finally going to have the time to try it out.

 

I actually just got an issue of Street Thunder that has this in it. I only glanced thru it but it seems to be the same method.

I have a stupid question but i gotta know . I keep seeing "timing tags." What are "timing tags?" What does everyone man by that expresion. i know it must to those in the know seem like a stupid question but if i dont ask i shall remain stupid forever and i would prefer not to.

At the lakes/Bonneville SCTA and Rusetta & others issued timing tags with the drivers details & speed on it. The drivers screwed the tags to the dash of the car. They are a much coveted item these days.

 

There are no "stupid" questions,just questions you haven't asked.
A search on the HAMB or google will answer just about ANY question you have...

Making your own is a cinch. All you have to do is go to El Mirage or Bonneville and they miraculously appear!
