I run my injected 540 bbc on gas. 114 octane. It hits 190degrees thru the lights and is pretty good at cooling down with just water in the block and no cooling system or radiator. It runs 7.60s all day long too. Food for thought. The gas setup is such low maintenance and is the best part. We just do the oil routine and basically pull it out for raceday and put it away until next race. I recommend doing a gas setup. Plus the weather doesnt effect the gasoline setup so while the alky guys are scramblin for a tune up we can just kick back in the chair one more notch and chill out.

Bad ass car, love that chute packer body!!!

I'm going to run my stroker gas engine first to get used to the car. In the back ground I am building a blown alcohol engine to swap into it when I'm ready for it.

Cool...Do you guys have a series of races out there on the east coast?

Not like the west coast. There is a Gasser series that is twice a month for period correct cars. They started a "center steer series" last year but only had six vehicles. They have gotten impatient and are now going to call that class a gas modified class and allow non period correct gasser door cars 72 and older to run in the same class (I'm not happy about that). I had planned on traveling to some NHRA Nostalgia races and run the stroker in NE II. I have also just joined Ontario Nostalgia Drag Racers http://www.fastpast.ca/ and will run some of their races. I also do club racing (Car Clubs racing against themselves (Bracket Racing)) That should keep me busy.

I had planned on coming out to the March Hot Rod Reunion, but I will not have enough seat time, and there is not class I can run in (I'm to slow with the stroker.)

You shouldn't, I have been following your build / racing, and you are out there having fun. I had to sit this entire season out with no car. No fun at all!

I will not have enough seat time this time around. They did not have NE2 at the fall meet, correct?

The pieces are about to start to come together!

The frame is actually a dark green with flake in it.

I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to getting this piece of art home.

Many people have put long hard flustrating hours of work into this vehicle and I can not express my thanks enough.

Roo Man did a great job on it!

Carey did a great job on the paint!

Wish I had more to do with it then paying the bills.

I do get to wire it and drive it.

I am still planning on leaving here Monday, sleep overnight in Indianapolis, and pick the dragster up on Tuesday, and return home with it around 9:00 PM Tuesday night.

Glenn just left my shop with the car and will be headed back to Rochester in the morning. We got the roller together with a few small jobs still to be finished but all of them can be done without having the car here.
